We are a small farm business in Cedar Grove, NC building a beautiful community around better food that is produced from local, humane and regenerative agriculture.
Our Name
Our name is a play on our last name, Edens, but also points to our belief that good animal husbandry is something that originated in the biblical story of creation.
In the story of Genesis 2, humans are given their primary vocation to preserve and keep the soil, and tasked with the vocation of naming and caring for the plants and animals in Eden.

Our mission is to foster a beautiful community of folks who are passionate about eating real food, supporting our family farm and rural community, and sharing this journey with us in a mutually beneficial way.
Our Values
We believe humane and ecological husbandry:
Respects the dignity of animals by allowing them to live a life they were created to live: outdoors, with fresh forage, and without a routine treatment of antibiotics
Utilizes animal manure and the disturbance of grazing to regenerate soil and in turn produce better pasture and vegetable crops
Fosters integrity in the relationship between the animal and the eater by facilitating meaningful opportunities for people to learn more about where the food comes from
Creates a good livelihood for the farmer and farm-worker by paying them wages that allow them to enjoy the work, extend wisdom to the community, and bring love and generosity to the animals.

In addition to the meat we produce on our farm, we also purchase-in product from like-minded farmers right here in our neighborhood (like, hyperlocal: all farms within a 8 mile radius). This partnership ensures that we can offer a consistent variety of delicious meat raised in a humane and ecological manner all year long.
